    1. No speaker today

  7. Reports

    1. SBA President:

      1. Debrief Pre-Professional Mixer

        1. Overall it went well, but most undergrad students in the fall are more interested in the medical and dental schools than they are for law school

        1. Idea of having an event in the spring

          1. Invite mostly seniors and juniors rather than first year undergrad students

            1. Keep in mind that many law students are first generation law students and so we should maybe still keep the invitation open to first year undergrads

          2. We were asked to plan the event rather than just attend it

          3. Plan for February

      2. Debrief Strength for Service

        1. Only 4 actual lifters, however, received a lot more upfront donations

        2. John, Rich, and Dean Summers attended

      3. SNAP Discretionary Fund

        1. Dean's Suite is matching the SBA contribution

        2. If the need gets greater that we need to add more funds, we will discuss and vote

    2. Vice President of Internal Affairs:

      1. Merch Update

        1. Merch order placed; date TBD to receive products

        2. November 19 is the date of the pop-up shop

      2. Scholarship Opportunity

        1. Investigate what this truly is, why we haven't given it out in the past, and where funds for it come from

        2. Investigate whether there was a cancelation or something other that prevented the scholarship from being awarded

    3. Vice President of Finance:

      1. Funds Request:

        1. Military Law Society

          1. $75 for supplies which included printed photos, quad fold poster board, and other decorations and printed items.

            1. The poster is presently in the hallway, so this is now a reimbursement rather than a fund request. Reimbursements require production of receipts

            2. Was the $75 an estimate or the true amount for costs?

            3. Motion to approve reimbursement:

              1. Motion: John

              2. Second: Lauren

              3. Approve: 13

              4. Oppose: 0

              5. Abstain: 2

          2. $182.96 for flyers, two blown up posters, water bottles from Sams, and pizza from Godfathers.

            1. Are they buying these are requesting reimbursement or is it a true funding request? The event is to held on November 17 --> funds request

            2. This will be the MLS's biggest event of the semester and will be highly populated since there is an FBI as a guest speaker

            3. Motion to approve funding of $182.96

              1. Motion: Keana

              2. Second: Ella

              3. Approve: 13

              4. Oppose: 0

              5. Abstain: 2

        2. TMS:

          1. Food for end of year mass event. They are thinking sandwich boxes from Sodexo. The cheapest one is $14.59 a box and we would need around 20. So this would be $291.80.

            1. TMS's first event

            2. Motion to approve funding:

              1. Motion: Ella

              2. Second: Sadie

              3. Approve: 13

              4. Oppose: 0

              5. Abstain: 2

      2. End of Semester budget overview

        1. This is what the budget has looked like so far. From there we have approved $5,000 from CSU funds to approve the venue. We have approximately $3,228.66 before deducting the funds we approved today. And for SBA funds we have $3,063.86 and from there we need to deduct the money that was approved last week for merch. ($1,148.16)  Afterwards we are left with $1,888.70.

          1. Does not include the funds approved today (11/10), which comes out of CSU funding not SBA funding

  1. If anyone is sending any request to Club Banking for funds to be loaded onto the card or funds to be transferred please cc me in the email so that way I have a record of on what day we received the funds and when they were deducted.

  2. Also, venmo. We lost access to venmo so I need to figure out how we can get back in.

    1. Venmo account phone number ends in "47"

    2. Need to contact Venmo to get the money transferred to a different account

  2. Vice President of Student Organizations:

  1. Committee Chairs

    1. Barristers' Ball: Update

        1. Location: Blackstone Social

          1. Space is given for free 7-9

        2. Amount: $1200

          1. This will leave the SBA with $600 for the rest of the 2025-2026 academic year (unless we can figure out fundraising)

        3. Discussion regarding canceling the December FAC – options:

          1. Completely cancel

          2. Lower tab amount to $800

          3. Make it an informal FAC, which is an open invite with students to cover their own drinks

            1. FAC changed to Bar Crawl

            2. Flyer needs to display that the event is not sponsored and notify students that they are expected to pay for their own drinks

            3. Provide at least free food

        4. Motion to cancel FAC

          1. Motion: Ella
